OUR HISTORY
Nurul Islam Nursery & Pre-School
Nurul Islam Nursery & Pre-School was established in 1981 with the approval of the Johannesburg City Council. To date we are one of the few registered community-based sites in Lenasia. In 1985 the roll increased to 150 children, and they were accommodated in the new building which is situated in a huge park in extension 5. Being one of the most modern structures in Lenasia the building consists of six large classrooms facing north and overlooking a beautiful, lush garden and 3 large classrooms in the new wing of the school. The school shows off a spacious playground with wooden climbing apparatus for the children to develop strength and co-ordination. In keeping with our Islamic Ethos, the school has a qualified & dynamic Islamiat Educator whose responsibility is inculcating Islamic Values in our learners. Nurul Islam Nursery is dedicated to shaping young minds with a legacy of excellence and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. Our school has been the foundation for countless success stories and we are here to share that legacy with your child. We have evolved with the times, adopting modern teaching methods while preserving the core values that make us unique. Syllabus
At the Nurul Islam Nursery School, we are committed to providing a well-rounded educational experience that encompasses not only academic growth but also spiritual and technological development. Here’s a glimpse into our enriching syllabus:
Daily Maktab Lessons:
Engage in daily Maktab lessons led by our qualified full-time Mualimah. These 45-minute to an hour sessions are designed to foster a deep understanding of Islamic teachings, inclusively included in our fees.
Iman Mudhakirah – Tarbiyah Focus:
Elevate spirituality through our daily Iman Mudhakirah sessions, focusing on tarbiyah to instill strong Islamic values and character development in our young learners.
Guardian Institute & GDE CAPS Curriculum:
Experience the best of both worlds with our curriculum, combining the excellence of the newly launched Guardian Institute syllabus (Islamic) and the GDE CAPS Curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive and balanced learning experience.
Coding and Robotics – Preparing for the Future:
Embrace the future with our Coding and Robotics program, seamlessly integrated into our curriculum and inclusive in our fees. We believe in preparing our little ones for the technological world ahead.
Age-Appropriate Reading Program:
